New Years Resolutions- Check, Check & Check!

So, at the beginning of 2014 I made a few resolutions and I've been trying really hard to keep them and so far I'm doing a pretty fantastic job. Probably my biggest goal of the new year was to start up a blog and TADAH here it is. I may have only created it yesterday, but it counts. That's step one, I still have to achieve many mini goals before my huge goal is achieved (it's a surprise shhh). I'm so excited to really get started with this blog, I have some great ideas that I think many people would want to read about. Some things I'm looking into doing is monthly favorites, holiday specials, fashion look books, seasonal beauty and fashion ideas and even some home decorating ideas and baking. I'm very excited to see where this will take me!
I made a resolution to give more compliments because I have a bad trait where I'll think a compliment to myself like "Oh wow her shoes are gorgeous!" but I'll never say it out loud. I know how happy I get when people give me compliments and I don't think I should hold back anymore. Lately, I've been letting out my opinions everyday and it makes me happy when you can see that the complimentee (is that what you would call a person receiving the compliment?) is happy. I think it's something everyone could work on because I only ever hear criticism, which is necessary at times, but doesn't have to be the only thing coming out of our mouths.
I really wanted to start eating healthier. For my entire life all I've been eating is crap food and sometimes I feel it! I realized how much fried foods made me feel like a literal potato and I hate it. Not too far into the year I decided to become a pescatarian. Meaning that the only meat I eat is fish. I've really tried to cut out sweets and I will have a clean few weeks, but I always give in eventually. There's still room for improvement, but I am very proud of myself for keeping the meat away for about three months now. It really has impacted how I feel. Just picking up a fruit instead of a candy bar makes me feel so much more full of energy and happy.
Last, but not least, I wanted to say yes to more things. I want to go out and experience as much life as a sixteen year old is permitted to do. Playlist Live for example was complete spur of the moment, my parents didn't even know that I was buying the tickets. I'd been wanting to go for some years now and I figured that it was just time that I do it. I am a little shy when it comes to new things, so the 8,000 people convention could definitely be added to the something new list. It was a great experience and I'm so glad that I said yes to it. I'm looking to go out of my comfort zone on smaller levels also. You will never see me with my hair up in public, but I want to give it a shot at some point this year. Also, I would love to rock the big floppy hats this spring/summer season, but I've always been a little skeptical of whether or not I could pull it off.
All in all, I've really made some progress, especially for just now entering the fourth month into 2014. I'm quite pleased actually :) Do you have any new years resolutions that you've already resolved or are planning on resolving? I'd love to hear in the comments below.
Thanks so much for reading!
